You are capable of MORE than you THINK

I was mulling over this quote before posting, truly feeling in my heart that everything I have ever accomplished in life so far, at some point I had a doubt in myself telling me I couldn’t do it or I can’t for some reason. Or it just seemed so far out of reach that the steps to take that were in front of me seemed too daunting or too pointless to take. Even now, posting things on my blog and creating my newsletters and going through the motions of having my own health and fitness business seems like a scary risk to take each time, and I have to keep reminding myself that fear should never be what holds me back. Whether it’s fear of judgement or fear of failure, or just fear of the process and the unknown, I can’t ever let those things stop me from doing what my heart tells me is my truth and my purpose.

This is also why I truly believe in everyone else. I believe we all are held back by something, whether it be some evolution of self-doubt or fear of discomfort or judgement. Let yourself be uncomfortable and step into the unknown, if that unknown is calling to you in some way. There will be obstacles, and some won’t be fun, but when you are on the right path, those obstacles are always worth it. In the end, every step teaches you something, about yourself, about life, about the nature of things. And ultimately, it’s always worth it, whether we fail or succeed. Yet, I believe, if we put our heart and soul into something we love and desire in our hearts, we are bound to succeed in some way.

I posted this quote on instagram and that night, during my home yoga practice, I was doing my daily reading from “Meditations from the Mat” by Rolf Gates and Katrina Kenison on page 27, I began Day 21’s passage. The quote here “I learn by going where I have to go” by Theodore Roethke was enticing. I read on and it was a powerful passage about a hard decision in a friend’s life and the lesson was ultimately that the “obstacles in our path are the path” and I just thought that was so beautiful as it was another reminder that every time we reach beyond our resistance or our fear of something, we let go of fear’s grip on us, and we choose to truly live. The passage ended with “we all know more than we think we do, and we are stronger than we believe ourselves to be…” which struck me in the heart, as it echoed my instagram post so closely, I felt that this was just meant to be the lesson in my own life right now, and I am so glad to share it with you all.

As always, in health and happiness,

Cora-Ann =)
